Eduardo Barreto
Eduardo Barreto was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1954. His first published feature was a short-lived science-fiction comic strip that was distributed by United Press International and published in 16 countries in South America.
In 1983, Barreto started working for DC comics, where he drew Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Teen Titans and nearly every other DC character. He also has worked with Marvel on Marvel Knights and Dark Horse on Aliens vs. Predators, Indiana Jones and The Escapist. He has written graphic novels for Oni Press and a miniseries for IDW Publishing. He lists Russ Manning, Hal Foster, Al Williamson, Mark Schultz and Alex Raymond as his main comic influences.
Barrreto resides in a small seaside town near Montevideo. He is the proud father of two sons and one daughter. In his spare time, Barreto loves to paint, read literature, watch movies and spend time with his grandson. An avid soccer fan, Barreto's favorite team is Uruguay's El Club Nacional de Football.
