Sparky: Not surprised about
Goyim missing the point of the
'stories' in the Torah, most
Jews do to. Ain't touching

Let's Amuse Ourselves
With Noah's Ark then!

Noah's Ark was a tale retold to
present the 7 Noahide Laws
to Non-Jews:

The Seven Laws of Noah (Hebrew: שבע מצוות בני נחSheva mitzvot B'nei Noach), often referred to as the Noahide Laws or Noachide Code, are a set of seven moral imperatives that, according to the Talmud, were given by God to Noah as a binding set of laws for all mankind. According to Judaism any non-Jew who lives according to these laws is regarded as a Righteous Gentile and is assured of a place in the world to come (Olam Haba), the Jewish concept of heaven. Adherents are often called "B'nei Noach" (Children of Noah) or "Noahides" and may often network in Jewish synagogues.

The seven laws listed by the Tosefta and the Talmud are:

  1. Prohibition of Idolatry: You shall not have any idols before God.
  2. Prohibition of Murder: You shall not murder. (Genesis 9:6)
  3. Prohibition of Theft: You shall not steal.
  4. Prohibition of Sexual promiscuity: You shall not commit any of a series of sexual prohibitions, which include adultery, incest, bestiality and homosexual acts.
  5. Prohibition of Blasphemy: You shall not blaspheme God's name.
  6. Dietary Law: Do not eat flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive. (Genesis 9:4)
  7. Requirement to have just Laws: Set up a governing body of law (eg Courts)

The Noahide Laws comprise the six laws given to Adam in the Garden of Eden, and a seventh (eating flesh from a living animal), which was added after the Flood of Noah. Later at the Revelation at Sinai the Seven Laws of Noah were regiven to humanity and embedded in the 613 Laws given to the Children of Israel along with the Ten Commandments, which are part of, and not separate from, the 613 mitzvot. These laws are mentioned in the Torah. According to Judaism, the 613 mitzvot or "commandments" given in the written Torah, as well as their reasonings in the oral Torah, were only issued to the Jews and are therefore binding only upon them, having inherited the obligation from their ancestors. At the same time, at Mount Sinai, the Children of Israel (i.e. the Children of Jacob, i.e. the Israelites) were given the obligation to teach other nations the embedded Noahide Laws. However, it is actually forbidden by the Talmud for non-Jews (on whom the Noahide Laws are still binding) to elevate their observance to the Torah's mitzvot as the Jews do.

While some Jewish organizations, such as Chabad have worked to promote the acceptance of Noahide laws, there are no figures for how many actually do. Noahides exist predominantly in the United States, South America and Europe.

Now as to considering Noah's Ark as history? This may help.

Not the final word -

As to the Decalogue (alternative being decalog) - the key is the Shema which encapsulates the monotheistic essence of Judaism:
"Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one," as found in Deuteronomy 6:4.
You have to understand that Xtians splitting of GOD into a Triune God is viewed in the worst possible way. As a Modern Jew who harmoniously embraces Buddhist thoughts into his worldview, I'm not going to tell you that for falling for the “Jesus Myth” that you're automatically a bad person. I'm sure you can make a case for being merely gullible ...

The skeptical declare that “Jesus” never existed. That the legend about him is due to the working of various tendencies and events, such as the prophetic interpretation of poorly re-edited Old Testament texts, visions, ecstasy, or the projection of the conditions under which the first group of Christians lived into the story of their reputed founder.
My take on Maurice Goguel's quote in
"Recent French Discussion of the Historical Existence of Jesus Christ", Harvard Theological Review

... Creationists, despite having been proven time and time again to be false, still insists their own story of Noah's ark to be true. If there is physical evidence found for all of this as told in the book, then we will acknowledge the story to be true, biblical accurate and authentic, but it is not. No evidence of a pre-Flood world, with all of its advanced cites (like Atlantis), cultures, peoples (who are nothing like the cavemen stereotypes shown in movies and comics), things that are actually of modern invention, prehistoric and modern animals existing all together at the same time and the same place being all buried in mud in many layers all over the earth, has ever been found, nor will it ever be found. This is not at all the so-called true story of Noah's ark, but a story of pure 100% science fictional fantasy based on the creationists' own distortion of Genesis 1-11 of the Bible and certain alleged artifacts long ruled to be frauds (i.e. Inca stones, alleged Egyptian airplanes, etc.) all combine together and made up entirely by the creationists themselves for profit, personal, and political gain.
